STYLE INSPIRATION | SUNDAY BEST
I know this week's style inspiration isn't super dressy, but that's just the kind of mood I've been in lately. This past week, I wore an all black outfit (and sadly didn't get any pics of it), so I guess you could say I've been in a basic mind set with my outfits. This super minimal dress is calling to me right now, and I love paired simple gray/taupe accessories. Black and taupe are one of my favorite color combos. Plus, this Cluse watch is so pretty. I personally love my Cluse watch, but this marble face is really calling my name right now!

STYLE INSPIRATION | SUNDAY BEST
In case you're new to my blog, today's post is part of my Style Inspiration series. Every Friday, I share an outfit. I alternate between Weekending, or casual, outfits and Sunday Best, or fancy, outfits. It's a great way for me to get creative with outfits and inspire myself to mix up the items in my closet. Sometimes I pair together items that are similar to my own and sometimes I live vicariously through my own blog posts. ;)
Most Sundays, I wear a dress to church. There's not really a specific reason, other than it's just what I've always done. However ... sometimes it's just more comfy to wear a casual outfit and dress it up with a few accessories! My favorite accessory is a huge, chunky necklace and a classic clutch. I could easily recreate this entire outfit in my closet, minus the clutch. I might need to order it!
What is your favorite kind of fancy outfit?

SUNDAY BEST
Even though summer is coming to an end, I'm still totally in the mood for gingham. As the summer winds down, I'll definitely be wearing my gingham as much as possible. This gingham dress is so cute and bonus ... it has pockets! The bright pink is a beautiful ode to summer and nips in the waist. Going with black accessories allows the pink to pop & take center stage next to the gingham.

WEEKENDING
We're heading into the weekend & I'm basically willing the weather to turn cold with my fashion choices. Granted, during the week, I dress for my office (which actually feels like the dead of winter). So, I can pretend that I'm dressed appropriately for 5 out of the 7 days of the week.
On the weekend? It's back to loose tops and ripped jeans. I threw in a scarf for this outfit simply because ...well... just because. I've actually tasked myself with going through my autumn and winter clothes this weekend. So, if wearing fall-inspired outfits won't change the weather, maybe getting out all the woolens will?
Cheers to the weekend, friends! (Bonus: everything linked below is under $50!)

Weekending
Happy Friday, friends! I am so ready to chill this weekend and enjoy some time with my hubby. We're trying out a new restaurant on Saturday, and I'll be sharing that experience next week. Since we'll have a few hours to ourselves, I might actually have a chance to take some outfit photos! It's been hard to fit in outfit photos lately, especially with the kids having Spring Break this past week.
Lately, I've been gravitating towards casual flowy tops that are also really nice, so you can either dress them up or down. Here's a little inspiration for your weekend!

Spring Wishlist
Yesterday, I shared an outfit that I know will be on repeat during spring and summer. Today, I'm looking forward to adding new pieces to my closet. Next week, I'll be clearing out the pieces in my wardrobe that I didn't wear during the fall and winter. I'm always editing my closet so I can buy new pieces for the upcoming seasons! Here are a few things that I'm wanting from Zaful, which is a site that has a ton of different styles at affordable prices.

How I'm Letting An App Dress Me & Why I'm Obsessed With It!
I have used my referral code within this post.
Friends!! I am so excited today. I have been waiting for today for quite a while. A couple years ago, I collaborated with Cladwell and used their Capsules app to create a capsule wardrobe for one season. It was a really fun experiment, and today I am collaborating with them again!
Today, they have released their brand new Outfits app. Have you ever seen the movie Clueless? If you have, you might remember Cher's closet. The coolest thing about her closet was the computer that let her put outfits together before she even stepped into her closet.
Well, the Outfits is just like that, only it puts together the outfits for you! And we have one more thing that's better than Cher's closet -- it's only $5 a month. I mean, I know Cher's closet was in a movie, but I can pretty much bet that her organizational system cost more than $5 a month. And it didn't put her outfits together for her. I mean, most drinks at Starbucks are $5! Imagine the time you could save just by skipping one Starbucks drink a month and investing it in your wardrobe.
I really can't tell you how excited I am to be using it. I am quite literally obsessed. Besides the app being very cool, it will be very nice to have an extra 15 minutes to myself each morning. Over on Instagram, I shared a few things that I could do with an extra 15 minutes. But, honestly? The possibilities feel endless.
Let me tell you how to get started with it. When you first log in, you will choose the items in your closet. This is what the screen looks like:
So far, most of the pictures of the clothes are similar to mine. There are some things that are not similar, and I am still playing around with it to get the majority of my clothes added to my closet in the app. I have selected the clothes that I wear the most, so I have a really great start.
After you've added all your clothes, it will put together outfits for you!
And then, it gives you options for the current day.
Once you have chosen your outfit for the day, you click 'LOG FOR TODAY' and then ... get dressed! I've been playing around with my settings, and I discovered that you can unlog an outfit if you change your mind. You can also customize what time of day it notifies you that your outfits are ready for the day.
Yes, I set my notification for 4 am..... :)
There is also a discovery section where the app will suggest items to you that are not in your closet yet. It is so much fun to go through all the items! It's also very, very helpful to see all the pieces together. When you can visualize how all the colors in your wardrobe go together, you will discover new outfits you've never warn before.
Since today is the first day I'm letting the Outfits app dress me, I'll be sharing my outfit over on Instagram. In fact, any day that I don't share an outfit on my blog, I more than likely share it on Instagram. Since the app will be dressing me, I'll be sharing all of them on Instagram for a while.
Hop on over to Outfits and save yourself 15 minutes every morning! I would love to hear what you think!

Sunday Best
Blush pink is my inspiration for my spring wardrobe this year, so I think it's definitely time to find a new skirt. I bought a gorgeous pink skirt at Target a couple years ago, but the lining did not hold up very well. This upcoming season, I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for a new one. I love to pair pink with stripes. The contrast between the feminine pink and graphic stripes is so fun.

Motivation For The Gym
Have you noticed that stores are starting to carry bathing suits? I mean, as soon as Christmas was done and dusted, it became spring/summer in the clothing departments. Spring/summer are not my favorite seasons. I really am more of a fall/winter type of person. It's like I said the other day, "I just really like my winter body and feeling cozy in sweaters."
Well, I've had a chance to peruse the bathing suits once or twice since they've arrived in the stores, and there are quite a few cute suits. I'm especially loving the high neck halter top bikinis. They are the best of both worlds. You have the freedom of a bikini with the modesty of a one piece on the top. There are so many cute styles! Here are just a few by which I've felt inspired.
We'll just call this my 'motivation for the gym' inspiration. :)

Sunday Best
Well, the weather has done it again. We're supposed to have a chilly weekend, and all I want to do is bundle up in a cozy sweater and leggings. Typically, I do dress up for church on Sunday. However, I think this weekend will be just a bit more casual. This grey and black look is simple and classic. I love a simple color palette with a touch of gold. Of course, a simple pink blush and lip gloss finish off the look, along with one of my favorite Marc Jacob nail polishes.
I hope you have a great & relaxing weekend!

Weekending
Making outfit inspiration boards is so much fun. I like combining pieces that I wouldn't normally put together. This pink and navy is a fun color combo and pretty casual for the weekend. We'll be running errands this weekend and a cold front is coming through. And you know what I dislike about running errands when it's cold? Carrying around a jacket. I'll just wear a cozy sweater and call it a day...

Day to Night Outfit
Happy Monday, friends! Did you have a good weekend? We had a pretty good weekend, which consisted of having an entirely lazy Saturday, checking on the progress on our house (we have windows!!), and ending it with painting my nails. I haven't painted my nails in a few weeks, so it was nice to get back into my pampering Sunday night routine.
I also had a good clean out of my closet this weekend, and I set out my outfits for this week. It's so nice to have a fresh plan for the work week. While I was digging around in my closet, I felt inspired to make some day to night looks. Having remixable items in my closet is very important, and I love double duty pieces. Here's one idea, if you're looking for a day to night outfit.

Weekending Inspiration
This weekend is going to be so nice! It's supposed to be rainy and dreary, so basically the only option is to stay inside... right? ;) Right now, I am feeling inspired by winter whites. These sneakers remind me of my SeaVees Montereys, and I love the shoelaces. The blush pink color is so pretty. We'll be putting away all of our Christmas decorations this weekend, but in between luggings boxes to the storage room I'll be playing around with some new makeup. Wishing I was playing around with this gorgeous bronzer/highlighter palette! Next time I'm at Nordstrom, this will be on my radar.

Sweaters & Outerwear
Hands down, I love shopping for sweaters. They are the one item in my closet that I have the most of. Between the sweaters and cardigans I've knit for myself and the ones I've bought and thrifted, I have a very hard time culling my collection. Every year, I add a few cute sweaters to my wardrobe. Lately, I've been loving muted tones. They can be mixed and match so easily!
Now, fashion outerwear is something that I don't have a lot of. Honestly, after noticing Princess Kate's style, I have realized how essential fashion outerwear is. I don't get a chance to wear coats or jackets a ton until maybe January or February. But, these three caught my eye. I love a good structured line in a neutral color (and I definitely consider navy a neutral!). Even more fun would be a floral bomber jacket. I've been keeping my eye out for one for the last year, and this might be the one.

Holiday Party Outfits
This post is a collaboration. All opinions are mine alone.
As far as my wardrobe, I'm not too fussy. I love having a variety of items to mix and match, but that's the secret -- I mix and match to get even more variety! When I think about holiday party outfits, I instantly think about dresses; however, pants are just as comfy and classy when it comes to parties. With a pair of well-fitting pants and a staple clutch, you mix and match your top and shoes to create a huge variety of styles. For holidays, I love a little extra lace and sparkle, so these tops are perfect!

Upcoming Fall Trends & Decluttering
Now that it finally feels like fall, I am ready to do some 'fall' cleaning. I know it's tradition to clean out your house in the spring, but fall is definitely a refreshing time of the year. The decluttering bug bit me this weekend, so we went through a couple rooms and closets to get rid of stuff for a yard sale.
It's so hard to get rid of clothing, so I really had to narrow down what I want in my wardrobe for the next couple of seasons. This mood board shows a little bit of my inspiration. I am so glad that plaid, sherpa, and booties are back in style! I don't have a sherpa vest yet, but I know the perfect one will find its way to me.
One thing that always perplexes me while we're decluttering is how to store the things I want to keep. Our space is limited at the moment, so I have to be creative with storing extra clothes, toys, books, and movies. It's a real process when you're getting rid of things that have been with you for so long and deciding where to store them if you keep them. Luckily, I had a very handy decision flowchart from MakeSpace to help me make my decisions.
MakeSpace is an innovative storage solution, if you are the same boat as me. We do have a lot of items we'll be bringing to a yard sale; however, we have just as many things that we can to keep! MakeSpace is a brand new service that will come to your home, collect your items, and then store it for you! They even have an app that you can use to let them know when you need things out of storage. It's almost like having a second closet or a personal assistant!
You can find out about this amazing service and their locations here.

Weekending
Recently, I wore this outfit when we took a trip to the park and ran errands. It was the perfect weekend outfit. I felt so comfy and yet didn't feel frumpy. Gotta love how trendy boyfriend jeans are! This linen top from Old Navy has been a great basic, and I have already worn it with a variety of outfits. It hasn't made it into a work outfit yet, because it is not that 'put together.' But, for the weekend, it's perfect!

Weekending
Happy weekend! I am ready for this week to end. Hopefully next week is going to be a little more normal. We have a busy weekend ahead. Our Halloween costumes aren't finished yet, so we'll be putting the finishing touches on those. I have a ton of baking to do, and we're going to try and get our yearly family pictures done.
I really wanted my dear friend Em to do them this year, like she did last year. She does amazing working!! But, we have a full schedule every weekend and then I realized that my Shutterfly coupons expire this Sunday. So, we'll be heading to the park with my tripod on Friday evening. Hopefully they'll turn out decent. I haven't decided what I'll wear, but it'll be something simple like this.
Do you have any fun plans for this weekend?

Weekending
Happy Friday! It feels like we just had a weekend, doesn't it? I put together some weekend fashion inspiration. I love a simple outfit that can be changed from day to night with a simple shoe switcheroo. White Chuck Taylors are something that's missing from my closet. They seem to go with everything, don't they? And I've been searching for a green anorak style jacket for a while. I know they've been around for a while and everyone and their sister has one, but they are quite versatile.

Shopping for Fall Accessories
This post has been sponsored.
I am already looking ahead to my fall wardrobe. It's one of my favorite seasons, and my fashion mojo comes back full swing when the weather cools down. I've been planning my wardrobe a little more than I usually do. The colors I've been drawn to are aubergine, navy, mustard, and gold. These are just a few things I've been wanting to add to my wardrobe!
